Living legendary Mark Hamill fired up his verified social media accounts in order to give a shout-out to the creator of the series which made him a world star.
On May 14, Hamill, who portrayed one of the greatest Jedi in the galaxy ‘Luke Skywalker,’ in the ‘Star Wars‘ film series, took to his verified Twitter account and released a couple of photos of George Lucas. Along with the photos, including a black and white TBT shot the two are seen together, Hamill stated that he is celebrating Lucas’ contributions to popular culture. In his own words:
“Shout out to George Lucas for no particular reason other than his incomparable contribution to pop-culture, remaining a genuinely nice person.”
The Hollywood actor, who also featured in the final episode of the first ‘Star Wars’ series ‘The Mandalorian,’ referred to the movie universe with a joke:
“(…) for branding me forever as “a little short for a Stormtrooper.”
Even though Hamill wrote in his message that he is honoring Lucas, born George Walton Lucas, Jr., for no reason, his fans reminded him that May 14 is the birthday of the legendary filmmaker.
The fans and followers also celebrated the 77th birthday of Lucas; one of them stated in a message that both Lucas and Hamill created together something special that taught many how to grow into good people. It seems the two go on spreading ‘Star Wars’ soul despite the many years passed.
