Hollywood actor Mark Hamill, who gained further recognition with his portrayal of ‘Luke Skywalker‘ in ‘Star Wars‘ series, went to Twitter to express his satisfaction with his surprise ‘Mandalorian‘ cameo. As known, Hamill featured in the final minutes of ‘Chapter 16: The Rescue‘ as the de-aged version of ‘Luke Skywalker.’
Regarding his feature, Hamill wrote along with a photo from the series:
“Sometimes the greatest gifts are the most unexpected and something you never realized you wanted until it was given.”
Describing his cameo as “the greatest gift” the actor also shared a video, which includes the fans’ reactions to his character’s return, and added a message saying that he is highly proud of having been shown in the episode:
“Seeing fan’s reactions to Luke’s return is something I will cherish forever. Their anticipation seeing the X-Wing/Ep. 6 Robes/a lightsaber/a GREEN lightsaber/a gloved hand/an ungloved hand/a Force choke/R2-was OVERWHELMING & very moving to me”
The living legend went on saying in another tweet; he will never forget this cameo:
“I’m a fan myself, so I knew true fans would love it, but to see them thrilled beyond belief with the exuberance of children, whooping it up, screaming in ecstasy, the tears of sheer joy…it’s a rollercoaster of emotions I’ll never forget.“
As fans might remember, Hamill previously (on December 19) celebrated his return to ‘Star Wars’ world, via a statement he had shared through his official Twitter account. Shortly after the episode had been aired, he wrote:
“The fact that we were able to keep my involvement a secret for over a year with no leaks is nothing less than a miracle. A real triumph for spoiler-haters everywhere! #LooseLipsSinkStarships #STFU.”
