Best known for his portrayal of ‘Luke Skywalker‘ in ‘Star Wars‘ film series, Mark Hamill released a two-photo gallery that sees him with his co-star Carrie Fisher through his verified Twitter account the other day, and he recalled the old & gold days while cheering up ‘Star Wars’ fans.
Alongside the photos that see Fisher, who played ‘Princess Leia,’ and him together at the set of ‘Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back‘ he added a message that excited his fans & followers. He clarified the black & white photos in which Hamill and the late star hug with the following message:
“1st day of Empire in Finse, Norway. She had no scenes there, but came along just to hang out & not miss any of the fun.”
Hamill, who led an adorable tribute to Fisher back in December, on the 5th anniversary of her death, continued his message by referring to the ‘Star Wars’ snow jackets they are seen wearing in the photos:
“She always regretted not going to Tunisia for SW. It was also a way to make sure she got her own crew snow-jacket. (and yes, I still have mine)”
The filming for ‘Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back’ began in Norway in March 1979 as Hamill stated in his message. During the shooting, the temperatures dramatically dropped to −29 °C and the cast & the crew could not exit their hotel, according to that time news. As fans may recall, similarly, during the filming of ‘Star Wars’ in Tunisia, it was reported that a major rainstorm hit the area.
