Mayim Bialik, who has been nominated four times for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series, has a piece of good news for the fans of the comedy series, ‘Call Me Kat.‘
On May 10, the TV personality, best known for starring in the fan-favorite series ‘The Big Bang Theory‘ as ‘Amy Farrah Fowler’ for 8 seasons, fired up her social media accounts after Fox had renewed ‘Call Me Kat’ for a second season. The 45-year-old star released a screenshot of the Variety report announcing the exciting news, and added the following message as a caption:
“Pretty darn good way to start off the week!! @CallMeKatFOX is coming back for a 2nd season!!! Meow!”
According to the news by Mónica Marie Zorrilla, President of Fox Entertainment, Michael Thorn said in a statement regarding the exciting updates:
“We are excited to renew ‘Call Me Kat’ and have Mayim, Cheyenne, Swoosie, Leslie, Kyla and Julian return for their second season. Together, they share a winning chemistry that we, and viewers, adore. On behalf of everyone here at FOX, congratulations to this incredible cast and our terrific partners at Warner Bros. on delivering this season’s #1 new comedy.”
As fans already know, the series, starring Cheyenne Jackson, Kyla Pratt, Julian Gant, Leslie Jordan, and Swoosie Kurtz alongside Bialik, premiered on January 3, 2021, with its 13 episodes. In just weeks, the series reached 5.7 million multiplatform viewers and became one of the most-watched new comedies on Fox.
