John Cusack is a familiar face in the entertainment scene with a career spanning four decades. However, he is not the only one in his family with an interest in acting. His sisters, Joan and Ann Cusack, are also actors. Here is what we know about two of John’s sisters, Joan and Ann.
Joan Cusack
Joan Cusack, born in 1966, is an actress with over 50 films to her credit since 1980. She also voiced the character Jessie in the ‘Toy Story’ franchise. She has been nominated twice for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress, one for ‘Working Girl’ in 1988 and the other for ‘In & Out’ in 1997.
John and Joan Cusack collaborated professionally, co-starring in ten movies such as ‘Broadcast News,’ ‘War, Inc.,’ the 2007 comedy ‘Martian Child,’ and ‘Say Anything.’
Aside from her professional life, Joan is a mother to two sons, Dylan (born in 1997) and Miles (born in 2000), whom she shares with her husband, Richard Burke.
Ann Cusack
Born on May 22, 1961, Ann Cusack, the eldest of the Cusack siblings, entered the movie scene later than her younger siblings. Despite this, she has contributed to 26 films since her debut in 1991’s ‘A League of Their Own.’
Ann’s career extends to television, where she has guest-starred in several series over the last four decades, including ‘Grey’s Anatomy,’ ‘Fargo,’ and ‘Better Call Saul.’ She also collaborated with her brother John in films like ‘Grosse Pointe Blank’ and ‘America’s Sweethearts.’
So, acting appears to be a family affair for the Cusacks, with their father, Dick Cusack, being an actor and director. John has a brother, Bill Cusack, who is an actor and producer, and his sister Susie also has her own film career that began in the early ’90s, with roles in movies like ‘Short Cuts’ and ‘Not Again!’
