In the previous day, Megan Fox’s past interview in which she declared that Michael Bay inappropriately treated her on the set of ‘Bad Boys II,’ went viral again after 11 years.
In the interview dated 2009, Fox tells how Michael Bay got her to dance underneath a waterfall in a bikini when she was 15, and she expresses that director Bay sexualizes her.
However, ‘Transformers’ star Megan Fox took her personal Instagram page and published a statement on June 23 in order to “clarify the situation.”
The actress Megan Fox, defended director Michael Bay as follows:
“While I greatly appreciate the outpouring of support, I do feel I need to clarify some of the details as they have been lost in the retelling of the events and cast a sinister shadow that doesn’t really, in my opinion, belong.”
The 34-year-old actress continued by acknowledging that she has bad experiences in the misogynistic film industry:
“Please hear me when I thank you for your support but these specific instances were inconsequential in a long and arduous journey along which I have endured some genuinely harrowing experiences in a ruthlessly misogynistic industry.”
Although there are numerous claims that Michael Bay behaves in a highly sexist way to female stars in his films, Fox wrote:
“When it comes to my direct experiences with Michael, I was never assaulted or preyed upon in what I felt was a sexual manner.”
