Bill Cosby’s sexual assault conviction overturned, and the former actor released from prison as of the date of June 30. Of course, the decision which failed survivors made a huge controversy among the film industry.
Melissa Joan Hart, the well-known actor, and current producer was one of those who expressed their disappointment on the issue. Hart took to her verified Instagram account the same day – on June 30 – and released a graphic bearing the text that reads:
“Free Britney, not Cosby.”
Underneath the photo, the actor, best known for starring in the TV series ‘Sabrina the Teenage Witch,’ asked how it is possible to release Cosby from prison while Britney Spears can not still take control of her life. In her words:
“What is wrong with the world?!”
As soon as the actor released the post, a great number of people took to the comments section and expressed their frustration.
While numerous people all around the country could not believe the news, Cosby spokesperson Andrew Wyatt said in a press statement:
“What we saw today was justice, justice for all Americans. Mr. Cosby’s conviction being overturned is for the world and all Americans who are being treated unfairly by the judicial system and some bad officers.”
Even though the spokesperson described it as an act of justice, it seems in addition to the victims, members of the celebrity world will speak out against the Coby case.
