The highly expected action comedy film, ‘Superintelligence,’ starring Academy Award-nominated actor Melissa McCarthy and directed by McCarthy’s husband Ben Falcone is coming to HBO Max on November 26, 2020.
The news has been delivered on November 10, through the official Instagram page for HBO Max. On the page, an official trailer for the movie, which will debut on Thanksgiving via the streaming giant, was released with the following note:
“When @melissamccarthy pairs up with an AI (who happens to sound a lot like @j_corden 😉), it’s the perfect recipe for a Thanksgiving movie. #Superintelligence premieres November 26 on HBO Max.”
The upcoming film, starring James Corden, Bobby Cannavale, Brian Tyree Henry, Jean Smart, and Sam Richardson, alongside McCarthy, follows a single, unemployed woman ‘Carol Peters,’ who is the last chance of humanity to prove Al bot that the planet and the people worth saving.
The official description of the movie, produced by Warner Bros. Pictures, New Line Cinema and On the Day Productions, is as follows:
“When an all-powerful AI (James Corden) chooses to study the most average person on Earth, Carol Peters (Melissa McCarthy), it’s the perfect recipe for a Thanksgiving movie.”
‘Superintelligence’ is the fourth actor-director collaboration of McCarthy and Falcone. As widely known, the comedy duo (husband and wife at the same time), teamed up for ‘Tammy‘ in 2014, for ‘The Boss‘ in 2016 and for ‘Life of the Party‘ in 2018.
The movie also will be released theatrically on December 20.
