Actor Misha Collins, who plays ‘Castiel‘ and several other characters in the fantasy horror TV series ‘Supernatural,’ went to Twitter on November 20, and expressed how he feels about the fan-favorite series coming to an end.
Collins first posted a photo of himself with his children and wrote alongside that they are ready to watch the last episode of the series. In his message, the actor also stated that it is the first time he would watch the show in full with his kids.
“This will be the first full episode the kids watch, so I’ll have a lot of explaining to do, but needed someone to hold me.”
Then the ‘CSI: Crime Scene Investigation‘ star posted another photo of himself, which sees him with tears streaming down his face. In his message, Collins addressed actor Jensen Ackles, who is starred as ‘Dean Winchester‘ in the series, and Jared Padalecki, who portrays ‘Sam Winchester.’ He wrote:
“You just did this to me. I’m going to miss Sam and Dean and #Supernatural. Love you guys.”
Following Collins’ tweets, which include his teary-eyed photo, a good number of fans of the series took to Twitter and shared their photos which see them crying (or pretending to cry.)
The series, which focuses on the two brothers who hunt supernatural beings such as monsters, demons, and ghosts, first aired on September 13, 2005. After 14 seasons, it had been announced that “the longest-running American live-action fantasy TV series” was renewed for a 15th and final season by The CW. The final season, consisting of 20 episodes in total, premiered on October 10, 2019.
