Morgan Freeman is warning his fans about an AI scam.
A TikTok influencer named Justine tricked many people into thinking she was Freeman’s niece by using AI to copy his voice. Freeman responded to this on Friday morning by thanking his fans for exposing the scam. He wrote:
“Thank you to my incredible fans for your vigilance and support in calling out the unauthorized use of an A.I. voice imitating me. Your dedication helps authenticity and integrity remain paramount. Grateful.”
Freeman’s representatives did not have any further comments. You can see his tweet below.

Justine Used AI To Prove She’s a Nepo Niece
Justine, who has over 218,700 followers, posted videos where she claimed to be Freeman’s ‘nepo niece.’ She used AI software to make it sound like Freeman was narrating her daily life, calling the AI voice ‘Uncle Mo.’ Many viewers believed that Freeman was actually supporting her by recording these voiceovers.
The confusion spread quickly when a Twitter user shared one of Justine’s videos, thinking it was real. The tweet was seen by over 16.4 million people and liked more than 214,000 times. Many were impressed and thought Justine was really Freeman’s niece. But some sharp-eyed users noticed the voice was fake and pointed out that it was made with AI.
The use of AI to imitate voices has been a hot topic in Hollywood. Scarlett Johansson recently took action against OpenAI for using a voice that sounded like hers without permission. Drake also faced backlash for using AI-generated voices of Tupac Shakur and Snoop Dogg in a song. Hollywood is now asking Congress to do something about the use of AI technology.
Morgan Freeman has three older siblings, but it’s not clear how many nieces and nephews he has.
