NCIS: Hawaii Canceled: Vanessa Lachey Says She Was ‘Blindsided’

CBS announced the ‘NCIS’ spinoff’s cancellation last week.

‘NCIS: Hawaii’ Season 3 finale will also be the series finale on May 6. Lead actress Vanessa Lachey recently reacted to the news on Instagram Stories by writing:

“Gutted, confused, blindsided. Grateful, confident, beloved fan! Processing this news and still being present with my family. I love you all! Maholo Nui Loa.”

The CBS show was the fourth installment in the ‘NCIS’ franchise and is now the third to end. It’s also one of the most watched projects to be canceled this season with 7.8 million viewers.

Her Co-star Is Not Happy Either

Lachey played Agent-in-Charge Jane Tennant opposite Tori Anderson’s FBI Agent Kate Whistler throughout three seasons. Anderson shared disappointment over the cancellation on X as well:

“Having a really hard time processing this one. Thank you to our incredible crew who made every single day feel like I was living a dream. I want to say thank you to all the fans. My heart breaks for you as well. This is a huge loss for representation. Love you all so much.”

Meanwhile, CBS confirmed a new season for the franchise’s main series and greenlit a prequel about a young Jethro Leroy Gibbs.
