The Instagram account for Netflix Film posted a series of shots from ‘Imperial Dreams’ and invited the Instagram users to watch out this “must-see” movie.
The account added the followings in the caption:
“In IMPERIAL DREAMS, John Boyega plays a man recently released from prison struggling to care for his young son. Water is a recurring theme throughout, breaking the film up into four parts.”
The drama film written and directed by Malik Vitthal had premiered at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival. Regarding the shots, shared through Instagram, added:
“We see Boyega’s Bambi looking distraught in the shower after learning he has no secure place to live. We see him washing his son in a public bathroom shortly after he’s turned away from the DMV for a new driver’s license — meaning he can’t get a job. Later we see him bathing his son, now back in a stable home. Finally, the two joyfully play together in a pool.”
The Netflix original film ‘Imperial Dreams’ won the Audience Award at the Sundance Film Festival.
“A powerful, affecting portrait of life post-incarceration, IMPERIAL DREAMS is a must-see. Now on Netflix globally.”
