Netflix Shares First Look At The ‘Peaky Blinders’ Movie

Cillian Murphy returns as Tommy Shelby in the upcoming Peaky Blinders movie.

Netflix just released the first look at the upcoming ‘Peaky Blinders’ movie with Cillian Murphy returning as Tommy Shelby.

Production has officially started in the U.K. and the first image shows Tommy Shelby looking older and grayer than before as the leader of the Birmingham gang.

The show’s creator Steven Knight wrote the movie’s script. He shared his excitement as filming began. “I’m thrilled to see the cameras rolling on this new chapter of the Peaky Blinders story, set during World War II. The country is at war, and so, of course, are our Peaky Blinders,” he told Netflix.

Director Tom Harper, who worked on previous episodes of the show, is also returning to direct the film. “There’s a great feeling of anticipation and excitement amongst our outstanding cast and crew,” he said. “We’re grateful to the fans for getting us to this point and believe this next chapter is going to deliver something extraordinary.”

The movie is a continuation of the popular six-season BBC drama series and will be set during World War II. Not much has been revealed about the plot, but it seems we can expect to see familiar faces and new additions to the cast. The film will feature Rebecca Ferguson, Barry Keoghan, and Tim Roth alongside Cillian Murphy.
