New ‘Beetlejuice Beetlejuice’ Trailer Finally Reunites Michael Keaton And Winona Ryder

The sequel promises more chaos and adventure.

A new trailer for the upcoming ‘Beetlejuice Beetlejuice’ has just been released.

The trailer dropped on August 6 and gave fans a first look at the Michael Keaton and Winona Ryder reunion. It shows the duo returning to their famous roles as Beetlejuice and Lydia Deetz after more than 30 years since the original movie.

Beetlejuice and Lydia’s chaotic relationship continues in the trailer. It all kicks off with Beetlejuice singing a funny version of Richard Marx’s song ‘Right Here Waiting.’ The story then focuses on Lydia, who must save her teenage daughter, Astrid, from the underworld. This forces her to make a new deal with Beetlejuice, which might involve another wedding.

Keaton is Excited For The Movie

Michael Keaton already saw an early version of the film, and he said that it’s fun and exciting:

“It is really good and beautiful. Beautiful, you know, physically. You know what I mean? The other one was so fun and exciting visually. It’s all that, but really kind of beautiful and interestingly emotional here and there. I wasn’t ready for that, you know. Yeah, it’s great.”

He also praised his co-stars, especially Catherine O’Hara, saying she’s even funnier this time around.

‘Beetlejuice Beetlejuice’ is directed by Tim Burton, who also directed the original ‘Beetlejuice.’ The script is written by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, who previously worked with Burton on the Netflix series ‘Wednesday.’

Along with Keaton and Ryder, the movie features a cast including Jenna Ortega as Lydia’s daughter Astrid, Monica Bellucci as Betelgeuse’s ex-wife, Willem Dafoe as afterlife detective Wolf Jackson, Justin Theroux as Lydia’s husband Rory, Burn Gorman as a reverend, and Catherine O’Hara, who returns as Delia Deetz.

‘Beetlejuice Beetlejuice’ is set to hit theaters in the United States on September 6, 2024.
