New ‘Happy Gilmore 2’ Trailer Confirms Travis Kelce, Bad Bunny, And More

The sequel brings originals back while adding new names to the cast.

The trailer for ‘Happy Gilmore 2’ is now out, posted by Adam Sandler on X with a festive greeting: “Happy Chanukah! Merry Christmas! Happy Holidays! And Happy Gilmore to all!” It introduces a mix of names from music and sports, along with some familiar faces from the original.

Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs shows up first, interacting for the first time with Gilmore on screen, possibly hinting at the latter’s absence from the golf scene or this particular course.

Another scene in the trailer reveals Gilmore in a group, including AEW star MJF. His appearance raises questions about his role in the sequel’s plot though it’s been known beforehand like Kelce’s.

One more new character in the mix, Bad Bunny, serves as Gilmore’s caddie as the teaser captures a moment of celebration between the two following a successful golf shot. It seems we’ll see a fun dynamic duo in the film.

Love won’t be absent from the feature, either. Julie Bowen returns as Virginia Venit after ending up with Gilmore at the end of the original. Since the 1996 classic, Bowen became a household name thanks to her role as Claire Dunphy in ‘Modern Family.’

Christopher McDonald is another returning cast member, reprising his role as Gilmore’s nemesis Shooter McGavin. The trailer features a moment where they meet again, this time in a cemetery, hinting at their ongoing rivalry.

Though not in the trailer, other names that are reported to be in ‘Happy Gilmore 2’ are Margaret Qualley and Ben Stiller. The sequel is set for release on Netflix in 2025.
