“This is hard for me to read. I had no idea what a gifted storyteller she is. Through all of the painful anecdotes about Nick’s illness is a beautiful love story. Equally as powerful, is the tale of a family, a group of friends, a community (both local and strangers from across the globe) coming together to pray and hope for a miracle, but at the very least, lift up our friend with love.”
Even though he is holding a book about Cordero’s passing, Braff stated that he still cannot believe his friend is gone. Praising Kloots’ strength, the actor concluded his words as follows:
“I can’t help but shake my head and look up at the sky. Where else does one turn to look? I am in awe of Amanda’s strength. Day after day, this tragedy beat her down, and each day she stood back up and said, Not today. All whilst raising a baby. There is such resilience in the human soul. Especially when it’s fueled with hope and vitality and love.”
According to the official synopsis of the book by Kloots who had to raise her newborn on her own after her husband had passed away, ‘Live Your Life: My Story Of Loving And Losing Nick Cordero’ is spreading “uplifting message for life in the time of COVID.”
