Actor, comedian, and writer Nick Kroll, best known for creating the ‘Kroll Show’ trumpeted the HBO series, ‘I May Destroy You’ as the best show of the year.
The comedy-drama TV series created by Michaela Coel received countless praises from highly notable names for the female-centered, brave storyline apart from Coel’s unique performance and talent.
Following Adele and Jane Fonda, Kroll also took to his verified Instagram page and posted a snap from the series sharing in the caption that:
“I finished I MAY DESTROY YOU and it destroyed me.”
The series, based on the real events Coel unfortunately experienced, premiered on 8 June 2020 on BBC One and on 7 June 2020 on HBO and ended after 12 episodes.
The ‘Big Mouth’ creator, praised the ‘I May Destroy You’ like Adele did, who said the series was the best show ever in the British TV:
“For my money, it’s the best show of the year.”
Then the comedian called its story as “super-powerful” and pointed out that the series focused on the biggest issue in the society, the sexual assault, in an honest and sincere way:
“Michaela Coel talks about the biggest issues facing us as a culture so honestly and with such precision. It’s super powerful and will make you think and laugh and cry. All the good stuff. @hbo @imaydestroyyou”
