American actor and comedian Nick Kroll, who acted & voiced in movies such as ‘Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie,’ ‘The House,’ and ‘Uncle Drew’ made a statement through Instagram regarding comedian Carl Reiner, who died on June 29, 2020 when he was 98.
As known, Reiner passed away because of natural causes, and this loss devastated the entire entertainment industry.
Along with a series of photos of late Carl Reiner, Kroll wrote as a caption to remember him after his death:
“The world was lucky to have 98 years with the incredible Carl Reiner. As a kid, I spent countless hours listening to “2,000 Year Old Man.” Carl Reiner and Mel Brooks’ creative and improv genius reshaped comedy and were certainly the most singular inspiration @johnmulaney and I referenced for Oh, Hello.”
‘Kroll Show’ star added:
“Carl created, wrote, and/or directed some of the funniest shows and movies the world has ever seen, including two of my favorites The Dick Van Dyke Show and The Jerk. In the last few years, he reinvented himself as Twitter’s most beloved nonagenarian liberal voice— showing all of us what it means to live life with vitality, vigor, love, and kindness until the very end.”
In return, his followers also expressed their sorrow and left the below comments:
“Just yesterday I was looking at his IG. He posted a birthday thing for Mel. And today, this. Even in death, timing is king” said, Matthew Smith.
“May his memory be a blessing, ❤” wrote Sara Rogerson.
“My heart breaks for him and Mel’s movie nights” added, Mikey Pete.
