The recipient of Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series for her performance as ‘Moira Strand‘ in the fan-favorite groundbreaking TV series ‘The Handmaid’s Tale,’ fired up her verified social media accounts to celebrate her own birthday by releasing a highly “interesting” photo plus an accompanying caption.
On April 15, Wiley, who gained international fame for starring as ‘Poussey Washington‘ in Netflix’ ‘Orange Is the New Black,’ uploaded a photo of herself wearing a dinosaur mask and holding a huge cocktail in her hand.
Along with the photo captured almost 3 years ago on her birthday, the actor, turning 34 as of the date of April 15, added the following message:
“I was born 34 years ago today. What?! Yay and stuff! Anyway here’s a picture from 3 years ago today when I decided to have a birthday party at Dave and Buster’s in Hollywood. Yup, subtle.”
Then the star told off the story of her dinosaur mask by saying that she just wanted to hide to celebrate her birthday without being recognized. In her own words:
“Anyway, I wore an upside dinosaur mask (truly no idea why I thought it should be upside down, could have something to do with that beverage) to hide my face, so no one would recognize me and I could just walk around, unfiltered, play games and just have so much fun!”
Then the Emmy Award-nominated actor admitted that the child inside her has not grown up, fortunately:
“That’s me I always want to celebrate today. The kid. Always the kid. So yay Happy Birthday to the kid!”
Following this adorable Instagram post, Wiley’s industry friends jumped into the comments section to send their congratulatory messages. Well-known names, the ‘Vikings’ star Clive Standen and her ‘Orange Is the New Black’ co-star Natasha Lyonne were two of them.
