Actor Orlando Bloom and his fiancee Katy Perry encouraged their fans & followers to hit the polls, with a morning jingle created for their two-month-old daughter, Daisy Dove.
The famous couple posted a video of themselves singing a song they made up while enjoying their morning coffee. Perry and Bloom first sing the following lyrics together:
“Rise and shine and get to the polls now (…) Vote in person, not with the mail-in ballot now.”
Then the ‘Smile’ singer added:
“Now’s the time to vote in person, people of the United States.”
Then Bloom paused singing for a second and said that voting in the upcoming election was essential for future generations. The ‘Lord of the Rings‘ actor continued:
“This little ditty is going to be for Daisy Dove.”
Perry clarified the video, said they just wanted to say good morning and reminding the followers that their votes matter. The singer also told of that she and her fiancee had already voted. Later Bloom began to speak:
“I can’t but I’m asking all of you to do it for my Daisy Dove.”
Bloom posted the aforementioned video through Instagram. He added a caption that reads:
“Mum and dad just saying drop them off it’s too late to mail em in – it’s safe #wearamask bring snacks and a friend! #votenow 🇺🇸🙌 have fun!”
Katy Perry shared the same video through her verified Instagram account with the following note:
“Mom & dad here reminding you that YOUR VOTE COUNTS! ♥️ #votenow #bringsnacks 1866OURVOTE”
