Tatiana Maslany, best known for portraying multiple characters in the television series ‘Orphan Black’ will officially portray lawyer-slash-superhero ‘Jennifer Walters’ in the Marvel’s upcoming ‘She-Hulk’ Series.
The Primetime Emmy Award Winner will represent ‘Jennifer’ who gains superpowers after a blood transfusion from her cousin, ‘Bruce Banner.’ ‘Jennifer Walters,’ created by writer Stan Lee and artist John Buscema, first appeared in ‘The Savage She-Hulk’ in 1980. Unlike ‘Hulk’ she was created with the ability to retain the majority of her intelligence and emotional control.
Once the news spread, Mark Ruffalo took to Twitter and wrote alongside DEADLINE‘s related news to say hello to his cousin:
“Welcome to the family, cuz!”
‘Rick and Morty’ writer Jessica Gao, the Emmy winner, will write the script of the said series that makes Maslany the latest female talent to lead a Marvel project after Brie Larson.
Besides, the ‘She-Hulk’ project was announced by Marvel Studios president Kevin Feigel in 2019 during D23 Expo.
“Bruce Banner is no longer the only Hulk in the MCU. Jennifer Walters is a Hulk, she’s a lawyer, and she’s gonna star in a show, unlike anything we’ve done before.”
