The 51-year-old actor, screenwriter, and producer Paul Rudd who gained a fan army with his lead role in the ‘Ant-Man’ movies appeared on a coronavirus PSA video with the request of New York governor Andrew Cuomo and urged young people to wear a mask to stop the virus spread.
Rudd wore boyish clothes, took a skateboard on his hand, and explained to the youth that wearing a mask can be “totally beast.” In the video, he began by saying that COVID is transmitted by millennials, and continued:
“I’m not going to preach at you, like some celebrity. This is a convo where I talk, and you shut up and wear your mask.”
The ‘Living with Yourself’ actor also used lots of hip slang for his “fellows,” such as “cap,” “fam,” and “beast.” He referred to millennial culture via popular apps, celebrities, and acts; he told of TikTok, online challenges, and memes. He answered a phone call, and pretended like talking with Billy Eilish, who is one of the idols of the youth:
“Oh hi, Billie Eilish. What’s that? You’re wearing your mask? Man, I wanna stan you – you’re so my bae.”
He also added:
“Just wear a mask. I shouldn’t have to make it fun – it’s science!”
