Pedro Pascal Doesn’t Want To Get Fired From ‘Mandalorian’: ‘God, I Hope Not’

The actor recently shared thoughts on his future as Din Djarin in ‘The Mandalorian.’

After the third season of ‘The Mandalorian’ ended without revealing Din Djarin’s face and with the announcement of ‘The Mandalorian & Grogu’ movie, there was speculation about whether Pedro Pascal, who has a full schedule, would return. The actor reassured fans that he’s not planning on stepping away from the role or the franchise before the movie’s debut.

In an interview with the SAG-AFTRA Foundation, Pascal reflected on how the first season’s filming method could have allowed a different actor to take over if necessary. This led to a lighthearted moment when the interviewer, Jenelle Riley, asked if he was fired, leading him to quickly say:

“No. God, I hope not!”

Pascal’s Wish To Go On With The Series

Details about ‘The Mandalorian & Grogu’ movie, including its cast, are still not public. Yet, Pascal’s comments show his commitment to continuing as Din Djarin despite a busy schedule that includes major roles in other projects like ‘The Last Of Us’ Season 2 and Marvel’s ‘The Fantastic Four.’

The actor has said in past interviews that he wants to play Din Djarin for as long as possible. He mentioned to Entertainment Tonight:

“[I will play Din Djarin] as long as they keep writing. Even if I can’t fit into the suit, someone can.”

He also told BBC Newsround:

“I think I will be playing the Mandalorian for the rest of my life.”
