‘Percy Jackson And The Olympians’ Season 2 Cast Revealed

The new season will follow Percy and his friends as they search for the Golden Fleece to heal Thalia’s poisoned tree.

The cast for Season 2 of Percy Jackson and the Olympians is growing with Tamara Smart as Thalia Grace, the daughter of Zeus.

According to TheWrap, Tamara Smart, who you may know for ‘Resident Evil,’ has been confirmed for the role.

Thalia is an important character in the Percy Jackson universe. The character’s backstory was briefly mentioned in Season 1, Episode 2, during a conversation between Luke (Charlie Bushnell) and Percy (Walker Scobell).

‘Percy Jackson’ author Rick Riordan is excited about the casting. Speaking to ComicBook, Riordan said that Smart is “perfect” for the role. “I am so thrilled with the person we got, and the story of how we got them and why is so perfect,” Riordan said. “It is itself worthy of a movie. It’s really incredible.”

Riordan didn’t have control over when Disney revealed the casting but was thrilled when it was finally announced. “That wasn’t my decision, Disney just said, ‘Hey, okay, today we can do this,’ and I was like, ‘Wow, cool!’,” he explained.

If you want to learn more about the casting and Thalia’s role in the upcoming season, you can tune in to Riordan’s virtual events today. These events are also part of the promotion for his new book, ‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Wrath of the Triple Goddess.’ It hit shelves yesterday.

‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians’ Season 2 is currently in production.
