Rumors say that Aaron Taylor-Johnson is in talks to be the next James Bond, and he’s got Pierce Brosnan’s approval. Brosnan himself was the face of the British spy in four movies from 1995 to 2002. He recently said in a chat with ‘The Ray D’Arcy Show’ on RTÉ Radio 1:
“I think the man has the chops and the talent and the charisma to play Bond, very much so.”
Brosnan and Taylor-Johnson co-starred in a movie in 2009. The 70-year-old shared:
“One of the first movies we made, one of the earliest movies, was ‘The Greatest.’ And he was the greatest in it. So, yes, I read the news about his possibilities of being a Bond, so I would definitely tip my hat to the fellow.”
The Actor Has The Older Bonds’ Blessings
Daniel Craig played James Bond for the last time in 2021’s ‘No Time To Die.’ News on March 18 claimed Aaron Taylor-Johnson was offered to be the next 007.
Another Bond actor also said the 33-year-old was a good choice for the part. George Lazenby told TMZ that Taylor-Johnson has what it takes to handle the stunts and win over hearts as a spy.
EON Production didn’t confirm anything yet. But Lazenby said it was normal because the casting process for the British spy included many tests and auditions.
There are also suggestions for Cillian Murphy to play 007, but nothing is set.
