American musical comedy film directed by Jason Moore, the ‘Pitch Perfect’s cast, including Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson, Anna Camp, Hana Mae Lee came together to cover Beyoncé’s ‘Love on Top’ for a good cause.
Elizabeth Banks, portraying ‘Gail Abernathy-McKadden’ in the movie, and John Michael Higgins, representing ‘John Smith,’ introduced the acapella video, recorded with Zoom, on social media. Higgins said at the start of the video:
“I’m afraid I have some bad news. The Barden Bellas have gotten back together again. It seems that not even a quarantine could prevent them from harassing us with another musical performance.”
Then the Banks revealed that the money raised from the downloads of the rendition of ‘Love on Top’ would go to UNICEF to help children in Lebanon, and to an organization that’s working for children’s needs amid COVID-19.
Banks captioned the video by writing the followings:
“Buckle up kids, the Bella’s are back… for a good cause! Families around the globe are suffering from the impact of the #COVID19 pandemic, especially those in Lebanon who are facing crisis after crisis. But we can all pitch in and help.”
