Starring Rainn Wilson, Elliot Page, Liv Tyler, Kevin Bacon and Nathan Fillion, the 2010 dated film ‘Super’ turned 10, on April 1; absolutely, the director of the film, James Gunn noted the milestone through his verified social media accounts.
On Instagram, Gunn, who recently marked the 15th release anniversary of his debut film ‘Slither,’ uploaded a series of behind-the-scenes shots, and added a long caption in honor of ‘Super’s 10th anniversary. He began:
“Hard to believe – today is the 10th anniversary of the release of SUPER. Made for only three million dollars, this movie was a fast, difficult shoot. But, as I often say, my greatest talent is choosing the people around me, and SUPER was no exception.”
Later the filmmaker stated that the said film, which had its world premiere at the 2010 Toronto International Film Festival, was the movie of his that “had the most the most mixed reception critically.” The ‘Guardians of the Galaxy‘ series director went on saying:
“it’s also the one that people most often tell me is their favorite movie of all time (2nd most would be Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2). I was definitely limited by the budget, but I still love it in all its weird, dark, grainy, horror. #shutupcrime”
Meanwhile, one of the stars of the movie, Rainn Wilson, also took to his verified Instagram account to mark the day. After reposting Gunn’s message, ‘The Office‘ star wrote:

As known, ‘Super’, earning only 590.000$ on a budget of $2.5 million, has been marked as Gunn’s lowest-grossing film.
