One of the highest-paid actresses in the world, Reese Witherspoon took to her verified Instagram account and shared some footage that shows her training for the 2011-dated circus film ‘Water For Elephants.’
The Academy Award-winning actress said that she came across to the training videos while going through her computer, and it took her back to the time when she worked with circus trainers for her role as ‘Marlena Rosenbluth.’ Then she added by writing as a caption:
“Preparing for this film with @aloysiagavre and all the trainers at @cirqueschool was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Learning all of those flips took five months of daily practice, practice, and MORE PRACTICE. When I started, I had no idea how hard it would be (those performers make it look so easy!) But, I threw myself into training with every bit of determination I had. I definitely fell down, A LOT 🙈.”
In ‘Water For Elephants,’ directed by Francis Lawrence and written by Richard LaGravenese, based on the same name novel by Sara Gruen, Witherspoon portrayed a performer for the circus.
The actress described her role as a “challenge,” also stated that it was a great moment in her career. She continued:
“The stunt work really pushed me farther than I had ever gone as an actor. I loved all of it… From the scenes to the costumes to my co-stars… And all the furry and not furry ones! It’s memories like this that make me feel really lucky to be an actor and a storyteller. I want to thank each and every one of you who supports my work. It is my passion and it’s not possible without you ✨ #fbf #2010 🎥: @20thcenturystudios”
