The creator of Netflix comedy-drama series ‘After Life,’ actor Ricky Gervais gave the good news; revealed he already finished writing the first script draft of the series’ season 3.
Gervais, portraying journalist ‘Tony’ who lost his wife dies from breast cancer in the series, posted a picture of the script that reads “AFTER LIFER SERIES 3 BY RICKY GERVAIS FIRST DRAFT,” and a bottle of Glenfiddich Whisky. He captioned it as follows:
“This calls for a little celebration.”
This post caused a stir among fans and followers, so much so that, a good number of Instagram users, including the former member of ‘One Direction,’ Niall Horan, jumped to comments and celebrated the news regarding the new season of British black comedy-drama web television series.
As remember, Netflix announced there would be a third run, two weeks after the second season was released. And, on May 6, the 59-year-old Gervais reached a new multi-project deal including the new season of the said series. Following the deal, the actor confirmed the initial draft for season 3 was done, through Twitter, on July 23. Alongside a photo of himself holding the draft, he wrote:
“Because so many of you watched #AfterLife2 so quickly and made it Number 1 again, the nice people at @Netflix have suggested that I get off my fat arse and do another season. This is all your fault.”
