‘Rings Of Power’s Major Plot Hole Exposed

Annatar’s late introduction causes plot issues that fans think could have been avoided.

‘Rings of Power’s second season is about to introduce a character named Annatar, who is actually Sauron in disguise. Annatar should have been in the first season, and his late introduction is causing some problems with the story.

Annatar, aka the Lord of Gifts, is a form Sauron used to trick the Elves. He taught them how to make the powerful rings and secretly added spells to help him take control. Sauron’s plan almost worked, but when he put on the One Ring, the Elves realized who he was and stopped him.

Some think Annatar should’ve appeared in the first season to reveal Sauron’s identity. Instead, Season 1 created a mystery about who Sauron was. This led to Halbrand’s introduction as a new character, and he was later revealed to be Sauron. This twist delayed Sauron’s plans and made him seem less powerful.

This May Not Be That Bad

Introducing Annatar now might help fix some of the problems from Season 1. It shows the producers are following the original books more closely. The rings of power were made before the One Ring in the books, and this matches what’s happening in the show now.

Galadriel has always been wary of Sauron in the story. Her past with Halbrand might explain why she doesn’t trust Annatar. Annatar’s arrival can also lead to more rings and help Sauron’s plans to take over Middle-earth.

So, bringing in Annatar is also a good sign. It means the show is getting back on track with the original story.
