Actor and producer Robert Downey Jr. who best known for portraying ‘Iron Man’ in Marvel Cinematic Universe, sought to defend Chris Pratt following he had been criticized for being secretly a fan of President Trump and for his involvement in a conservative church.
Downey Jr. took to Instagram and posted a photo of himself with Pratt, who was branded as “Hollywood’s Worst Chris” by certain Twitter users, from the set of a Marvel movie, and added a caption that reads:
“What a world… The ‘sinless’ are casting stones at my #brother, Chris Pratt… A real #Christian who lives by #principle, has never demonstrated anything but #positivity and #gratitude… AND he just married into a family that makes space for civil discourse and (just plain fact) INSISTS on service as the highest value.”
BAFTA Award-winning actor continued supporting Pratt, having been slammed his conservative political beliefs:
“If you take issue with Chris… I’ve got a novel idea. Delete your social media accounts, sit with your OWN defects of #character, work on THEM, then celebrate your humanness… @prattprattpratt I #gotyerbackbackback”
Apart from Robert Downey Jr., the other Marvel Universe actor Mark Ruffalo, who portrays ‘Hulk,’ also came to his defense, and released the following message on Twitter:
“You all, @prattprattpratt is as solid a man there is. I know him personally, and instead of casting aspersions, look at how he lives his life. He is just not overtly political as a rule. This is a distraction. Let’s keep our eyes on the prize, friends. We are so close now.”
