Eight-time Primetime Emmy Award-nominated actor Robin Wright expressed her excitement about the premiere of her upcoming drama film ‘Land,’ through her verified Instagram account, on January 20.
After releasing the official teaser for the film, the Golden Globe-winning star heralded that the highly-expected drama film directed and starred by herself will have its world premiere at the 2021 Sundance Film Festival on January 31. She wrote:
“Thrilled that #LAND is having its world premiere at #Sundance tomorrow.”
Wright’s post welcomed by her fans & followers in cheer; so much so that, a great number of Instagram users flooded the comments section to say that they desperately want to see the film.
The 54-year-old actor also stated that she can not wait for everyone to see it, and tagged the official Instagram page for Sundance on the post.
As fans might remember, back in December, Wright implied that the film, which is her directorial debut, would have its premiere at 2021 Sundance by adding the hashtag “#sundancefilmfestival” on a post regarding ‘Land.’ At that time, she posted a photo of herself, which is featuring on the movie’s official poster, and wrote the following message:
“So excited to share the release of my new movie with you all! @landthefilm @sundanceorg @focusfeatures @robingwright stars as ‘Edee’ in her feature directorial debut LAND, a Focus Features release. #sundancefilmfestival”
Starring Demián Bichir and Kim Dickens alongside Wright, the film will be released by Focus Features on February 12, 2021.
