Rumor: A ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ Sequel Is On The Way

Marvel Studios might be working on a ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ sequel.

There are rumors swirling that Marvel Studios is planning a sequel to ‘Deadpool and Wolverine.’

It’s not confirmed if the project is officially in development, but ComicBookMovie says some reports suggest that discussions are happening behind the scenes.

This rumor follows the massive success of ‘Deadpool and Wolverine.’ It became the highest-grossing R-rated movie of all time. It even surpassed ‘Avengers” $622 million domestic total and became the fifth-biggest comic book movie ever in the U.S.

The movie also made over $1.31 billion worldwide. It climbed to 21st on the list of highest-grossing films of all time and passed ‘Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.’

Both Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman said they’d be interested in returning, but they were careful not to confirm anything. Rumors also point to the two teaming up again for ‘Avengers: Secret Wars,’ but a direct sequel to ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ seems almost inevitable.

‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ was directed by Shawn Levy, with a script by Ryan Reynolds, Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, and Zeb Wells.
