New rumors surfaced about who will play Doctor Doom in the upcoming ‘Fantastic Four’ movie.
‘The Fantastic Four’ will introduce Doctor Doom as the main villain in the Multiverse Saga. Sources say that Mads Mikkelsen, Cillian Murphy, and Ben Affleck are all being considered for this role:
“Dr. Doom will be cast in the next couple of months to appear in the ‘Fantastic Four.’ Mad Mikkelsen, Cillian Murphy, and Ben Affleck are in the running to play the character.”
Kang was supposed to be the main bad guy for this part of the MCU, but Jonathan Majors can’t continue in the role due to legal troubles. This led Marvel to rethink their plans, and they will probably pick a new actor for Doctor Doom soon.

Fans Don’t Want Ben Affleck For The Role
Doctor Doom hasn’t been in any of the newer Marvel movies yet. Now that he’s set to appear, fans have lots to say about who should play him. According to the tweet’s responses, most seem to really want Murphy for the role. They think he would be a great fit and are excited about seeing him join the MCU.
Some fans are not happy with the idea of Ben Affleck playing Doctor Doom, though. They remember his past superhero roles like Daredevil and Batman, and they’re not sure he’s the right choice this time. Mikkelsen is another strong candidate. He already played a villain in ‘Doctor Strange,’ but fans are open to seeing him in a new role because of the Multiverse concept.
Pedro Pascal will play Reed Richards (aka Mr. Fantastic), and Julia Garner will appear as the Silver Surfer in ‘Fantastic Four.’ Paul Walter Houser also joined the cast in an undisclosed role. The film is expected to be released on July 25, 2025.
