There are new rumors suggesting that Henry Cavill might not be done with the Marvel Cinematic Universe after his cameo in ‘Deadpool & Wolverine.’
Cavill appeared as a Wolverine variant known as ‘Cavillrine’ in the movie, and some sources are now claiming he could return in the future. It’s still not clear if he’ll continue as ‘Cavillrine’ or take on another role in the MCU.
As per ComicBookMovie, these rumors come from an insider known as @MyTimeToShineH, who previously shared information about Cavill’s MCU involvement. Another rumor floating around is that Marvel Studios may want Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson to play Apocalypse, but this claim wasn’t confirmed and seems a bit unlikely.
It’s also reported by Daniel Richtman that ‘Ghostbusters’ star Logan Kim has been cast as Amadeus Cho. It’s not certain when or where he’ll appear. Amadeus Cho is known for being one of the smartest people in the world in Marvel Comics. Cho eventually gains some of the Hulk’s powers and becomes the ‘Totally Awesome Hulk.’
Kim’s version of Cho will likely show up in ‘Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man,’ but it could also be a voiceover role instead of live-action. There’s also a possibility he could appear in ‘Captain America: Brave New World.’
‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ director Shawn Levy previously talked about how Cavill’s Wolverine variant came to be. He told Variety that Ryan Reynolds came up with the name ‘Cavillrine,’ and Cavill quickly agreed to the cameo. They thought it as a fun and playful nod to Cavill’s past as Superman in the DC Universe.
