Rumor: Jenna Ortega Is Set To Join MCU

Though earlier speculation about her joining ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ as White Tiger was false, it seems the actress may still have a chance to appear in the MCU.

According to insider MyTimeToShineHello, Jenna Ortega is currently in talks with Marvel for an unspecified role. Nothing has been confirmed yet, and no details have emerged about which project she might be involved in.

Ortega, already has a packed schedule. She’s working on projects like Taika Waititi’s ‘Klara and the Sun’ adaptation, an untitled Trey Edward Shults film with The Weeknd and Barry Keoghan, and two A24 movies, ‘Death of a Unicorn’ and ‘Alba.’ She is also returning for the second season of Netflix’s ‘Wednesday.’

The actress made her debut in the series in 2022 and returned to the set around two years later in May 2024. She previously shared concerns about reprising her role after so long.

“I was a little terrified just because it had been years since ‘Wednesday,’ since we shot the first one. We did that like two or three years ago in Romania,” Ortega told ‘The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.’ “So, I didn’t really know how I… I just was, I think, overthinking it.”

“But as soon as you put on the costumes by Colleen Atwood, you get hair and makeup done, and then you take all the expression out of your face, it’s like, ‘Oh, okay. I kind of, I know how to do this. Yeah. Yeah.’”

The actress stepped away from ‘Scream 7’ earlier this year due to conflicts with her schedule for ‘Wednesday.’ She is expected to continue filming until November 20.
