Rumor: Josh Brolin Will Join ‘Lanterns’ Cast As Hal Jordan

It’s not confirmed yet, but fans are already talking about it.

There’s a new rumor that Josh Brolin may star as Hal Jordan in the upcoming TV series ‘Lanterns.’

Brolin played Thanos in the Marvel movies and Cable in ‘Deadpool 2’. He also played Jonah Hex in a 2010 DC movie. Now, he might be switching from Marvel to DC, according to rumors shared by podcaster TheInSneider and Nexus Point News. It’s important to note that nothing has been confirmed yet by any official sources.

No official casting has been announced for the John Stewart role yet. Aldis Hodge, who played Hawkman in Black Adam, showed interest in taking on the part. Hodge has already voiced John Stewart in animated shows and said he’d love to play him in a live-action series.

Ryan Reynolds previously played Hal Jordan in the 2011 ‘Green Lantern’ movie, but this new series seems to be taking a different approach. If Brolin is cast, his version of Hal Jordan might have a tougher and more serious edge compared to Reynolds’ portrayal.

Fans have mixed feelings about Brolin potentially playing Hal Jordan. Some think it’s a great idea, while others aren’t sure he fits the role.

The ‘Lanterns’ series is expected to focus on two Green Lanterns, Hal Jordan and John Stewart. The show will follow them as they investigate a mysterious murder in the American heartland. The series is said to have a dark, mystery-focused storyline, similar to ‘True Detective.’

Nathan Fillion is set to play Green Lantern Guy Gardner in James Gunn’s upcoming ‘Superman’ movie.
