Rumor: Tom Holland Gears Up For ‘Secret’ New Spider-Man Project

It’s unlikely to be Spider-Man 4, but many are curious about what he’s working on.

Spider-Man star Tom Holland sparked speculation after sharing a behind-the-scenes photo on social media on September 5. The photo is captioned ‘secret shoot day,’ and it has fans wondering if he might be working on a new Spider-Man-related project.

Some believe this could be connected to ‘Spider-Man 4,’ but it’s unlikely since that movie isn’t scheduled to begin production until next year. The movie doesn’t even have a director attached. There are rumors that the actor might be filming something else related to Spider-Man. But ‘Venom: The Last Dance’ is also a long shot, as that film comes out next month.

As per ComicBookMovie, some fans think it’s possible that Holland could be involved in ‘Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse.’ He was rumored to appear in ‘Across the Spider-Verse,’ but his version of Peter Parker never made it into the movie due to a scheduling conflict.

Holland was spotted in Los Angeles recently with a haircut that doesn’t look like his usual Peter Parker style. He appears to have the same look in the recent ‘secret’ photo.

As for ‘Spider-Man 4,’ Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers are working on the script. Jon Watts, who directed ‘No Way Home,’ won’t be returning to direct the next movie. Rumors have suggested that Justin Lin, Drew Goddard, and the duo Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah are in talks to take over directing duties.

Tom Holland is set to return as Spider-Man alongside Zendaya. Some sources say Holland is growing tired of playing Spider-Man, and this might be his final solo film as the web-slinger. Even so, he’s expected to appear in at least one of the upcoming Avengers movies.

We’ll have to wait to find out what this ‘secret’ project is, as details are still under wraps.
