Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman are teaming up again for a new project.
Just a few weeks before ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ hits theaters, Reynolds revealed that they are already planning their next collaboration. He and Jackman have a strong friendship that goes beyond their work on screen. Reynolds talked about this bond in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, saying:
“We have one [project] we’re looking to do soon. I would say that [ours] is like any relationship that is successful and works: It’s that two parties are rooting for each other. I’m always rooting for Hugh to score and win. I also know the infinite nuance of his heart and his mind and who he is. I can say firsthand that he’s a person who’s not just worth rooting for, he’s somebody who’s impossible to not root for.”
This new project won’t be part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The Duo Gave a Hilarious Interview Not Long Ago
Speaking to People Magazine, both Reynolds and Jackman spoke about how they encourage each other to be their best. Reynolds shared that he has been rooting for Jackman since they first met in Sydney:
“I think the secret sauce to a long-lasting Hollywood friendship is not too dissimilar to having a partner or a marriage. Since the day I met Hugh Jackman, I am genuinely rooting for you, all the time. I want you to win. I know you to be a person that often puts others in front of yourself. It’s not a show. I see you do it in quiet, I see you do it in loud and in every instance. I think of you as this guy that will grab the ticking time bomb and fly away into the atmostphere in space and let it explode.”
‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ hits theaters on July 26. It seems fans won’t have to wait long to see Reynolds and Jackman work together again.
