As the release date of ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ gets closer, Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman’s playful banter continues.
Reynolds recently spoke to AP News and commented on Jackman’s return as Wolverine, saying:
“Well I mean, I think we all can now see that Hugh is a liar, you know? A bald-faced horrible coward and a liar. Here he is, back again. You’ll have to find out how he comes back because that’s one of the most fun aspects of the movie.”
Jackman said goodbye to his role as Wolverine after 2017’s ‘Logan.’ He is coming back to play the character again in ‘Deadpool & Wolverine,’ but it will be a different version of Wolverine.

Kevin Feige Had Concerns About Jackman’s Return
Feige thought his return might ruin the great ending Wolverine had in ‘Logan.’ He even warned Jackman about this, but Jackman couldn’t stop thinking about returning. One day, while driving, Jackman realized he wanted to join Reynolds in the new movie. As he recalls, here is what happened:
“I was about an hour into the drive. And that question came into my head: ‘What do I want to do?’ And as soon as I asked the question, I wanted to do ‘Deadpool & Wolverine.’ I just knew it. I drove for another hour. Couldn’t stop thinking about it. And I got out of the car, called Ryan, and said, ‘Ryan, if you’ll have me, I’m in.’”
‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ will be released in theaters on July 26, 2024. The movie will show Wolverine wearing his famous yellow outfit for the first time on screen. Jackman is saying it felt right as soon as he put it on.
