Scottish actor and producer Sam Heughan has a piece of good news for the fans of the Starz historical drama series ‘Outlander’!
On June 4, the well-known actor, who gained international fame after starring as ‘Jamie Fraser‘ in the series, based on the book series of the same name by Diana Gabaldon, announced through her verified Instagram account that filming for ‘Outlander’ season 6 came to an end.
In order to break the news, Heughan released a two-photo gallery showing him riding his Halley Davidson motorcycle through Scotland; alongside the photos, the actor added a note that reads:
“That’s a wrap! Outlander season 6 done and to finish it, a beautiful ride through the Highlands of Scotland.”
Via the post, Heughan stated that he planned a motorcycle touring in his hometown.
As fans might remember, it was announced back on June 1 that the sixth season of the series, which based on the 6th book ‘A Breath of Snow and Ashes,’ will hit Starz and certain streaming platforms in 2021.
Regarding the ‘Outlander‘ next season, resident of Original Programming for Starz, Christina Davis said during an interview with DEADLINE:
“We are committed to telling the story fully with gripping and bold storylines in the upcoming eight-episode season that introduces viewers to new characters including Tom, Allan and Malva Christie (Mark Lewis-Jones, Alexander Vlahos and Jessica Reynolds who create tension on the Ridge.”
