Samuel L. Jackson Pushes For Mace Windu Revival In Star Wars TV Show: ‘He’s Not Dead’

He says Mace Windu is still alive and ready for more adventures.

In a recent interview with Empire celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Star Wars prequels, Samuel L. Jackson advocated for the return of Mace Windu, the Jedi Master he portrayed in the Star Wars prequel trilogy.

Despite the apparent defeat by Anakin Skywalker, who succumbed to the dark side, and the lethal shock of Darth Sidious’ Force lightning, Jackson remained adamant about Windu’s fate:

“HE’S NOT DEAD!!!”

During the conversation, Jackson made it clear that not only does he believe his character survived the events of ‘Revenge of the Sith,’ but he also supports the idea of a Mace Windu-centered series on Disney+. Asked about what he would want to do in such a show, the actor responded enthusiastically:

“EVERYTHING YES!!”

Is a New Mace Windu Show Possible?

A Mace Windu TV show would open up numerous possibilities, especially considering the character’s role within the Star Wars universe. As the elected leader of the Jedi Order, Windu’s perspective on the Jedi Council’s failures and the Republic’s fall would offer a rich storyline.

Besides, Jackson’s vision for a series that explores Windu’s survival and post-‘Revenge of the Sith’ goes along with fans’ curiosity about the character’s fate. Despite Jackson’s proposal, Lucasfilm has yet to announce plans for a Mace Windu series or film.

As the Star Wars franchise continues to expand, Jackson is also busy with nine upcoming projects on the way.
