After cheering up her fans with the news that she is coming back as ‘Carrie Bradshaw’ in the upcoming ‘Sex and the City’ reboot series ‘And Just Like That,‘ well-known actor Sarah Jessica Parker jumped into her social media accounts in order to deliver another exciting update.
On May 20, the two-time Emmy Award winner announced through her verified Instagram account that ‘Hocus Pocus 2‘ is officially happening! Parker first released an image bearing the name of the movie and then added the following message as a caption:
“Yep. I’m ready. To run. Amok, amok, amok, amok.”
After telling the world that she is reprising her 1993 dated role as ‘Sarah Sanderson,’ the ‘Sex and the City’ star also revealed that ‘Hocus Pocus 2’ is coming to DisneyPlus in 2022. In her own words:
“Hocus Pocus 2 arrives Fall 2022 on @disneyplus Sisters???”
Her movie sister Bette Midler, who is portraying ‘Winifred “Winnie” Sanderson,’ answered Parker’s call and wrote on her Instagram page:
“Sistaaaahs! It’s been 300 years… But we’re back!“
As known the first film, where Midler and Parker played witches, was released through Walt Disney Pictures in 1993; however, during its theatrical run, Disney lost millions of dollars. Until the film became a cult classic, the film, directed by Kenny Ortega, did not receive critical or commercial success.
According to the updates provided by DisneyPlus, the second film, directed by Anne Fletcher is now under development.
