Sarah Michelle Gellar Reveals How ‘Buffy Summers’ Has Changed Her Life

Hollywood actor Sarah Michelle Gellar updated her Instagram feed with a TBT shot of herself from the days she portrayed ‘Buffy Summers‘ in honor of the 40th birthday of the title character of the ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer.’

The 43-year-old marked the day with an adorable message plus the said TBT photo in which the famous slayer is seen with her arrow to grab the vampires. She first wrote that ‘Buffy Summers’ turned 40 on January 19, and continued her message as follows:

“I just realized that today is Buffy Summers 40 bday. I can’t even believe that.”

Then the actor revealed that the fan-favorite character changed her life deeply by teaching that “the hardest thing in the world is to live in it,” and encouraged her fans and followers to be brave in honor of her. She concluded her message as follows:

“Live. This may not be the way we are used to living our lives, but let’s find the beauty. So we can all live long and safely.”

As soon as Gellar had shared the post celebrating the TV & comic book character’s birthday, the fans of her in the celebs world flooded the comment section. Here are some of them:

“Happy birthday Buffy. Your words hit the spot. Back to bed” wrote, her former co-star Selma Blair.

“Dolly Parton & Buffy Summers having the same birthday makes all the sense 🌸🦇” added, Frances Bean Cobain.

“40 and no doubt still slaying it 💁‍♀️” said, the official Instagram page for Amazon Prime Video.

As known, the supernatural drama ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’ received critical and popular acclaim with both its TV and cinema versions. What’s more, for her portrayal of ‘Buffy Summers,’ Gellar was nominated for the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress – Television Series Drama in 2002.
