The world’s highest-paid actress Scarlett Johansson and ‘Saturday Night Live‘ news correspondent Colin Jost have secretly married.
According to news delivered by Meals on Wheels America, the couple tied the knot over the weekend in an intimate ceremony, with a small group of friends. They also followed the novel coronavirus safety precautions for sake of their family member and loved ones who attended their low-key wedding.
The non-profit organization delivering meals to people in need, Meals on Wheels America also announced that ‘Black Widow‘ star and ‘SNL’ co-head writer used their wedding for a good cause:
“Their wedding wish is to help make a difference for vulnerable older adults during this difficult time by supporting @mealsonwheelsamerica. Please consider donating to celebrate the happy couple“
Johansson and Jost began their relationship in May 2017. The same year, made their romance public by attending the American Museum of Natural History Gala together. After 2 years, the couple confirmed they had engaged in May.
Widely known, Johansson was previously married to Canadian actor Ryan Reynolds, however, the famous couple divorced after 4 years of marriage. Then the actress tied the knot with Frenchman Romain Dauriac in 2014 shortly after giving birth to her daughter. Dauriac and Johansson divorced in September 2017.
As for the ‘Weekend Update’ co-anchor Colin Jost had never married before. He revealed his thoughts on the marriage in a statement:
“I was so scared of marriage for so long because every time I talked to someone who just got married, or was about to get married, is like, ‘Oh my God, you got to do it … What could go wrong?’ Then you talk to someone who’s been married for five years, and they’re like, ‘Don’t rush into it … you have your whole life ahead of you. Don’t have kids. They’re the worst.’ ”
