Selma Blair Is Beyond Happiness After Her Biggest Dream Came True Despite MS: “I Finally Have The White Unicorn”

Well-known actor Selma Blair, who gained further recognition with her role as ‘Liz Sherman‘ in the fan-favorite supernatural film ‘Hellboy‘ shared a two-photo gallery, which includes a photo of herself with her “white unicorn” and a TBT snap that sees her in horse riding clothes, through her verified Instagram account to announce that her greatest wish finally came true.

Blair, who always wanted to be a great horse rider, announced through the post that she finally has the white unicorn that she had not had before because of her MS issues. In the caption section the ‘Cruel Intentions‘ star told of how started her riding horse journey:

Begging my mom for lessons as a kid, but I showed no promise and she was a working mom. A few lessons and memorable summers at riding camp. When I was old enough to drive myself, I did. I rode and soon enough was a grown amateur without a horse and a track record.”

The star then added that she finally bought a horse almost three years ago, however, she still did not manage to live her dream of riding freely, due to multiple sclerosis. As known, Blair declared in 2018 that she had been diagnosed with the disease that insulates nerve cells in the spinal cord and brain. Referring to the disease, also known as MS, the actor mentioned how much it seemed impossible to continue her favorite activity at that time:

“A sober self with increasingly unremitting exhaustion. I couldn’t feel my bum or left leg on my horse. The proprioception issues, inability to sit still, spasms, twitches. Jerks. Dystonia increased. I just laughed and thought getting older is impossible!”

However, she pulled herself together and decided to go back to the field to give another chance to herself. Stating she is still at the beginning, Blair admitted that she can not stop smiling at the barn. She concluded her words as follows:

I finally have the white unicorn I cannot believe is in my life and I want to rise to the occasion.”

Following Blair’s mentioned post, her industry friends jumped into the comment section with the following messages:

“Love seeing you this happy ❤️❤️” wrote, Michelle Pfeiffer.

“You are the absolute cutest and your unicorn is beautiful 🦄👩🏻💜” added, Helena Christensen.

“This makes my heart soar❤️” commented, Paulina Porizkova.
