‘Severance’ Stars Release Exciting Updates On Season 2

The show’s first season premiered on Apple TV+ in early 2022.

‘Severance’ Season 2 will debut on January 17, 2025. Upcoming episodes will bring the main cast back to address unresolved storylines from Season 1, according to the Irving Bailiff actor, John Turturro.

“I think it’ll be a really interesting second season,” Turturro recently shared with Variety at the Toronto International Film Festival. “We are delving into the unknown that the audience is waiting for, and then doing it incrementally.”

The Apple TV+ show follows a group of employees at a mysterious biotech company who have undergone an experimental procedure that separates their work memories from their personal ones. It returns to screen with a three-year delay due to the Hollywood strikes.

Despite that, director Ben Stiller says Season 2 commits to meeting fan expectations. “I feel like there’s an expectation that the audience has—that they should have if they love something,” he explained to Variety. “For us, it’s just been the process of trying to live up to our expectation of what we think the show should be and commit to that.”

‘Severance’ received 14 nominations at the 2021 Primetime Emmy Awards with its first season.
