Young actor Emmy Rossum, best known for starring ‘Fiona Gallagher‘ in the fan-favorite TV series ‘Shameless,’ jumped into her social media accounts with a piece of devastating news; on April 8, Rossum went to her verified Instagram page and announced that she lost her best friend of 14 years.
In order to release the news, Rossum uploaded a series of photos of her 14-year-old beloved dog Cinnamon and added a touching note to say goodbye to her best friend. Alongside the photos, in some of which she is seen enjoying with Cinnamon, the actor wrote:
“We lost our best friend of nearly 14 years today. Cinnamon was loved by Emmy and Sam, by his brother Sugar and his sisters Pepper and Fiona.”
Then the actor, who has been under the media spotlight due to the claims that she would return to the Showtime series for its farewell season, concluded her heartfelt tribute as follows:
“He loved eating, sleeping, and traveling. He loved barking at children and eating discarded pizza crusts off the street. He loved being carried and he loved being loved. I will always be his mother. He was my best boy.”
Of course, several of Rossum’s industry friends took to the comments section to send their condolences over the passing of Cinnamon. Here are some of these comments:

Rossum was sharing her lovely friend with her husband Sam Esmail, the creator of the series ‘Mr. Robot.’
