Shanola Hampton, best known for portraying ‘Veronica Fisher‘ on the fan-favorite Showtime series, ‘Shameless‘ went to Instagram the other day to express her gratitude regarding that she had directed the 8 episodes of the series on its latest season.
As known, Hampton announced back in November through her verified Instagram account that she would direct the series in its final season, by posting a photo of the first page of the script written by Sherman Payne.
After almost 3 months, she took to Instagram one more time to declare that the directing experience totally changed her life as an actor. Hampton posted a photo of herself wearing a coronavirus mask, and added a caption that reads:
“Last day of directing episode 8! On location! This experience has changed my life, changed my purpose! I’m so filled with gratitude!! Saying the people that have surrounded me are amazing is an understatement, they are all gifts from God! Thank you.”
Then the ‘Stalker’ star, who received the Best Actor award at American Black Film Festival in previous years, thanked John Wells Productions and Showtime for the opportunity and said that she loves her cast and crew so much.
As fans might recall, on January 15, she posted another shot of herself while sitting on the director chair which her name on it, and wrote the following message as a caption:
“Back at it!! I love directing so much!“
It seems Hampton, who is so much into directing, will continue her cinematic career as a director.
