According to a touching Instagram post by director Shawn Levy, ‘Deadpool 3’ has officially wrapped filming.
Levy’s post, dated January 28, featured two photos of him hugging stars Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman. On the strong bond forged between them during the film’s production, the director wrote in the caption:
“Started with friendship. Ended with brotherhood. Deadpool movie, July 26th.”

Hugh Jackman’s Feelings About ‘Deadpool 3’
Jackman, who hung up his Wolverine claws after 2017’s ‘Logan,’ returns for this film. He shared his mixed feelings about the demanding physical preparation for the role, which involved intense training and a diet of 8,000 calories per day.
Despite these challenges, Jackman expressed his gratitude towards the cast and crew. He also highlighted his strong bond with Reynolds and Levy, saying:
“What a ride! I’ve loved every minute of making this movie. Well, not the training and diet, but the other 93.2%. To the best cast and crew, thank you! You are all aces. To two of my best mates, Ryan Reynolds and Shawn Levy. I literally couldn’t have done this without you. Literally! July 26th can’t come soon enough. Time to shave.”
Everything We Know About ‘Deadpool 3’ So Far
‘Deadpool 3’ is the only Marvel release set for this year and is expected to be a critical and commercial success, potentially surpassing the $1 billion mark.
In development since November 2016 under 20th Century Fox, the project experienced delays following Disney’s acquisition of Fox in March 2019. The film, now under the Marvel Studios banner, is expected to retain the R-rating of its predecessors, a first for the MCU.
Filming faced challenges, including a suspension in July 2023 due to the SAG-AFTRA strike. It resumed in late November and, according to Jackman and Levy, concluded recently.
The plot of ‘Deadpool 3’ remains largely under wraps, but it is known to feature a mix of universes and characters, drawing comparisons to ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home.’ With Reynolds as Deadpool and Jackman reprising his role as Wolverine, ‘Deadpool 3‘ is slated for release on July 26, 2024.
